the long way home ~ print
I’ve always carried the belief that, somehow, everything comes full circle—even when we cannot yet see how. In this piece, water and sky appear as two separate places slowly converging, while the forms reach between them, connecting what first seemed apart. There is something comforting in the thought that life often moves in much the same way: experiences that once felt uncertain or disconnected can take on a strange kind of meaning when viewed from a distance.
I imagine this piece as a journey towards somewhere peaceful…somewhere that can feel impossibly far away, despite already existing somewhere within us. Maybe that’s why finding our way there can feel so much like coming home; we travel all that distance, only to recognise something that was with us all along. Sometimes, I think, we just have to take The long way home.
