The long way home ~ Original

I’ve always carried the idea that somehow, everything comes full circle, even when we can’t see how while we’re living through it. In this piece, water and sky feel like two separate places slowly meeting, while the forms reach across them, connecting what initially seems apart. There’s something comforting to me about how life can work in much the same way; experiences that once felt uncertain or disconnected can make a strange kind of sense when we eventually look back. I imagine this piece as a journey towards somewhere peaceful…somewhere that can feel impossibly far away, while knowing full well that it already exists within us. A place that takes time to reach, coming full circle, only to feel strangely like home when we arrive.
